The production of The Tatty Yak Himalayan YakChews follows a centuries-old tradition, carefullypassed down through generations in the Himalayanregion.

Each step plays an important role in creating
this natural, long-lasting treat:
Milk Collection – Fresh yak is sourced directly from
local Himalayan farmers, ensuring quality and supporting rural communities.
Cheese Making – The milk is gently heated, and a
tiny amount of lime juice and salt is added to separate the curds from the whey. This forms the foundation of the hard cheese.
Pressing & Drying – The curds are pressed into blocks to remove excess moisture, then left to dry and harden for several weeks, developing their durability.
Smoking (Optional) – Artisans smoke the cheese, deepening its flavour while enhancing natural preservation.
Cutting & Packaging – Once fully hardened, the cheese is cut into chew sizes suitable for different dog breeds and carefully packaged for distribution.

The result is a wholesome, long-lasting chew that
dogs enjoy and owners trust—crafted with care,
tradition, and natural ingredients.

Medium 65g - 90g (Suitable for Small to Medium sized dogs such as Spaniels, French Bulldogs and dogs who have softer mouths)

Large 95g - 120g (Suitable for larger breeds and power chewers!)

XL 120g - 150g (Suitable for breeds with large, powerful jaws and
determined chewers!)

XXL 200g - 250g This bars are very large and suitable for Giant breeds.
